Thank you for visiting my blog and if you landed here that means you want to know new recipes for your fussy toddler, don’t worry you have landed in right place. When I started with baby led weaning it was easy path as my daughter was not a fussy eater she was just exploring new texture and taste and had lots of fruits and soft texture food which was easy to gulp for her and she loved sweet food, which I heard mostly every baby loves sweet food but its us who have to make child aware or different taste and then let them decide on their favorite taste.

The real struggle starts when they start moving and enter toddler stage and become cranky and choosy about everything around them feeding them during this stage is a war which we try to win everyday. Few tips which will help you win this war with better points 😉

  1. Eat together– Don’t make your child eat alone and whole family just watching them. They feel something different is been served to them and others don’t eat that.

  2. Don’t force– Never force a child to eat as you cannot decide the quantity your child should eat after all its his/her stomach and they are humans too.

  3. Try after breaks- once the dish is rejected by your toddler don’t give up just try after 15 min or may b half n hour they may like it or feel hungry and eat it. But don’t go and cook different dish for them if they reject first as this encourages them to reject more and eat only what they want everyday and your child will lack necessary nutrition.

  4. Try new dish for breakfast or lunch because they have lot of time left in a day to digest the stuff if ever their tiny stomach doesn’t like it. For dinner give them light dish which you have already tested so that they can sleep happy. 🙂

Few dishes which I tried and worked are below:

  1. Oats with fruits-

(This can also be given to 7 month+ babies)

Ingredients- 2 tsp of oats, water/ milk, fruit of your choice (generally tastes good with apple, banana), some chia seeds, jaggery (optional).

Procedure: Add oats to water/milk and mix well without lumps, now add apple by chopping it fine and cook on medium flame. (If you are adding banana it has to be added at last when you switch off the flame by hand mashing it.) Once oats and apple are cooked add some chia seeds some strawberries to garnish and serve. Its yummy and easy to make.

  1. Curd Rice-(This can also be given to 7 month+ babies)
